How do we then create a seamless yet captivating user experience from the digital space to spatial?

Overview
‘Lost & Found: Serangoon’ is an audio-visual arts trail that begins with a long-lost pet bird named Sayang, and takes audiences down a winding road uncovering the Micro-histories and stories of Serangoon and its place names through the ages: from Sa Ranggong to Hwi Yoh, RAF Chia Keng, Ang Sar Li and more. Fusing original music, narrative and visual imagery, ‘Lost & Found: Serangoon’ is simultaneously a love letter to the neighbourhood and a journey through a rich and imagined memoryscape, underpinned by historical research and stories of residents past and present.
As the walking tour was held during the period of covid, the brief was skewed to more of an individual experience rather than experiencing it with a large group. The team had to strategically plan and execute the whole experience to be more mobile-centric. Numerous rounds of wireframes and user-testing was conducted to ensure that the whole experience is straightforward and user-friendly.

The exhibition website takes users through the stories via chapters mimicking a large story book. It can be viewed independently, or concurrently while on the trail itself.
Pockets of Serangoon’s history are embedded alongside instructional navigation, creating a layered experience that deepens one’s experience of place-memory and social history.
